“Environment Preservation” is an Islamic principle… And “Falcons Club” is a homeland vision

Since its formation, Saudi Arabia has given great importance to the preservation, development and protection of the environment, guided by the instructions of the Islamic religion, which calls for the care of the environment and not to harm it and to use its resources without waste or negligence.

The Kingdom has issued a number of protectionist regulations, which have been entrusted to many ministries and competent governmental agencies, have directed their efforts to protect and develop their natural heritage, especially endangered and endangered species of animals, wild plants and marine birds. The establishment of the National Commission for the Protection and Development of Wildlife In 1986 to implement the best and most effective systems to address the degradation of the natural ecosystem and to ensure the protection of biodiversity at the national and international levels, and to preserve wildlife in their natural habitat.

Since the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, has taken a special interest in the environment preservation and sustainable development, this has resulted in the issuance of his orders on May 7, 2016 by establishing the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (after the collection of environment, water and agriculture duties), in line with the requirements of “Vision 2030”.

In the context of the interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense – may God preserve them – to the environment and wildlife in the Kingdom, the royal order came to establish a falcon club, Leadership in environmental issues and its details.

The establishment of the Saudi Falcon Club is in line with the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 not only to preserve the quality of the environment and wildlife in the Kingdom by protecting falconry and reviving the hobbies associated with it, but also to preserve the original national heritage and instill it in the youth of the country through its participation and interaction in those Activities and the establishment of cultural, environmental and economic values and concepts related to the original Arab hobby.

The falconry’s penetration into the history of the Arabian Peninsula is an important milestone in the heritage of the Kingdom’s people, This is what was pointed out by the Royal Order, when he stressed the historical connection of the falcon to the heritage and culture of the human being of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting the importance of caring for the hawks and those interested in them by creating a bond.

The establishment of the Saudi Falcon Club has an important cultural and heritage value in the Kingdom. Therefore, one of the most important objectives of the Club is: “Cultural Development and Heritage Preservation”. This is through the interest of Authentic heritage hobby, exhibitions and activities of the club which enrich this aspect in an effective way reaching young people, conveying this noble culture and hobby to present and future generations, and attracting them to the heritage of parents and grandparents, with their values, through the latest scientific methods attractive.
